BSA Pack # 129

About Cub Scout Pack 129

Pittsford Pack 129 is a chartered organization that operates out of the St. Louis Church. It is part of the Boy Scouts of America, one of the oldest non-profit organizations in the nation.

Pack 129 is part of the Seneca Waterways Council. The council covers the upstate New York area from Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Seneca and Yates counties. The council manages the local scouting activities, provides adult volunteer training, and runs the facilities like Camp Cutler located south of Bristol. Please visit the council’s web site for more details: http://www.senecawaterways.org/

The local Seneca Waterways council office is located on 474 East Avenue in Rochester (just beyond Goodman Street). This is the location of the scout store where you can buy scout uniforms and accessories.

Pack 129 is in the Towpath district. A scout district is a geographic area within a council that may contain both cub scout packs and boy scout troops. The purpose is to allow the district to  support each pack and troop with local resources and mentors. The district holds a monthly meeting for its scout leaders to meet and to discuss ideas to help run their packs and troops.

Pack 129 obtains permission to use the church and school facilities for pack activities due to its relationship with its chartered organization, St. Louis Church.
